We do not offer refunds, including packages. Non-discounted packages don’t expire and can be transferred, but we do not offer refunds on packages. We are a low-cost community non-profit clinic with limited resources-please be aware of this when booking services with us. 

 

In the time of COVID-19 (yes, it is still happening), please be aware of the following:

We are prioritizing the safety of people who are high-risk, disabled, and immunocompromised at the clinic, which includes staff. As such, we require masking during the entirety of your visit at the clinic, and will not treat you otherwise if you decide you cannot wear one. It must fit securely over your mouth and nose, and must be either a N95/KN95 or TWO masks with a least one surgical underneath (we’re going for 4-ply coverage here). 

Staff are all vaccinated and boostered, and while we don’t ask for your vaccination status, know that we are following the science around this Covid-19, and as such believe in public health safety, especially for the most marginalized within our community.  Our goal is to create wider access to acupuncture, while creating a safe enough space that someone who is in cancer therapy, or has an auto-immune disease can feel more comfortable coming to use our services. Our model is for community, and one of the ways we honor this connection is acknowledging that masks are infection control in a world that is increasingly leaving marginalized folks by the wayside. We welcome you to be a part of this with us, but if you choose to not wear a mask, there are plenty of other private practitioners or clinics that do not require masks. We will not treat you without you wearing an appropriate mask that is securely covering your mouth and nose. Please wait to come if you have knowingly been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid within the last week. Please don’t come if you are actively sick with anything, if you are having symptoms of fever, cough, congestion (other than allergies); please wait to book an appointment until you are well. 

Treatments are usually between 45-60 minutes, however, we may pull needles before then if we are very busy (and that is the goal!) but try to let folks rest for as long as they need. Please be on time, or a few minutes early if you are new, but be aware that we are a high-volume clinic and as such, can sometimes run behind by a few minutes. We ask all patients to be flexible and understanding with us if you do end up waiting a few minutes. We are doing the best we can. Please schedule with us when you have at least 1-2 hours before another appointment, so that we’re not trying to squeeze your treatment in with us. The point of acupuncture is to relax, and scheduling yourself enough time to rest is important.

If possible, please print and fill out the Health History Form and Informed Consent and bring them with you to your first appointment. Community Acupuncture depends upon your support. By helping us in this way, we have more time to focus on your health as opposed to shuffling papers. We are grateful for your participation in community acupuncture.

We are currently accepting new patients by appointment only. You may book online with a credit card to hold the appointment — you can pay with cash/check or card when you check in for your appointment!

Missed Appointment / Cancellation Policy:

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. That way, your reserved recliner will be available for another person who may need a treatment at that time. If you do have to cancel with less notice than 24 hours (or don’t show up for your appointment), we will charge you a late cancellation fee of $30 or $45 (if you are a new patient). If you have a pre-paid package, we will automatically deduct one treatment from that per missed appointment. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation!
