Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are no longer able to treat in as high volume a setting as would enable us to keep our fees as low as we would like to, unfortunately. We will be temporarily switching to a flat fee ($30 for returning patients, $40 for new patients)* when we re-open, and requiring pre-payment with a credit card online. There will be an option to add a four-pack of treatments for $25 each, as well. Call us to schedule your appointment if you’d rather pay in cash or check on arrival. All existing packages will be honored, of course, and we still have about 40 free treatments for veterans to give away! If you are a new patient, you’ll need to call us to book your appointment so we can conduct an initial intake prior to your arrival. We will be checking voicemail frequently so make sure to leave a message!

Backyard Healthcare Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation doing business as Tucson Acupuncture Co-op. We are committed to providing affordable and effective acupuncture treatment to the community of Tucson in a comfortable group setting.

Schedule changes, Deals, and News!

UPDATE: The clinics have re-opened with different procedures in place in order to stay as safe as possible. You will be required to bring and wear a mask the entire time you’re at the clinic. We will also be implementing distancing, screening, and hygiene procedures. Please check out our welcome letter for more of these details! We can’t wait to see you again! If you have any trouble at all scheduling, please call 520-867-8004. We are checking the voicemail and returning calls diligently!

TACO East will be closing permanently at the end of August (Sunday the 23rd is the last day there) and TACO Ft. Lowell will be open 4 days a week starting Sunday, August 30th. It became clear very quickly that the Fort Lowell location has a much better chance of surviving during this pandemic. Given that we only opened this location in the beginning of January and had to close down only two months after that, it never really had a fighting chance to make it. We encourage the patients at TACO East to use up whatever pre-paid packages are still on their accounts before then. After the end of August, these remaining treatments will be transferred to the other location and can be used there.

Thanks to a grant from The Phil and Carol Lyons Family Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, we still have free treatments to give away to veterans! Please call 520-867-8004 to book.

Tucson Acupuncture Co-op was voted Best Alternative Health Center for the third year in a row in the Tucson Weekly’s annual survey! Thank you, Tucson! We are so grateful for you and your continued support.
